Marcin Żupański


Saxophonist, flautist, composer, arranger. Graduate of the Jazz and Light Music Faculty of the Music Academy in Katowice. Prize-winner at the competitions like Jazz Juniors and Jazz on Oder. A musician active on both the Polish and the International music stages. Participant of numerous music projects. He has collaborated with artists such as Marek Grechuta, Grzegorz Turnau, Stanisław Sojka, Beata Bednarz as well as with the famous Polish jazz musicians like Janusz Muniak, Urszula Dudziak, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Piotr Wojtasik etc. A long collaboration with the band of a young vocalist, Beata Przybytek, resulted in recording of two albums „You Don’t Know What Love Is” and „The Island”, while his collaboration with Adam Kawończyk brought about the album “By the route of Magellan”. He also works as a session musician and a leader of music project of his own. Presently with a band of his own, “Marcin Żupański Quartet” he gives concerts and is working on a recording.
